Camp
Alta Mons is an 850 acre playground, with very little man-made play equipment.
Whether you are here for a day hike or a week long retreat, we have a number
of activties for your enjoyment.
Public Use:
Junior olympic size swimming pool (fee), basketball/volleyball courts, soccer/baseball field, horseshoes, picnic benches, and hiking trails including Stiles Falls.Group rental activties (may require fee)
All public use activities in addition to:
Ropes/Cooperation Course
Picnic Shelters
Catch and Release Fishing (for overnight guests only)
Archery
Nature/Wildlife Study (seasonal)
Crafts (seasonal)
Wagon Rides
Guided Hikes
Campfires
But
what fun it is to catch crawdads and minnows in Purgatory Creek, watch the deer
come out in the evening or see a groundhog peek over the grass in the field.
Maybe cook out at one of several shelters with your Sunday school class or company.
How about lying in the grass and watching the birds fly overhead on a warm lazy
afternoon? Perhaps you’d like to catch some of the large carp in our pond.
Feel adventurous? Hike to Stiles falls, 45-foot waterfalls on the back of the property. Perhaps your group would like to sign up for a great team building and self challenging ropes course experience, a canoe and kayak trips on the New River, or backpack to one of our remote wilderness camp sites. These can be arranged for groups of 10 or more.
We also have traditional Tent and RV camping.

10am - 5pm Saturday / 1pm -6pm Sunday
